About tasha

What was your first job?

“My first job was pretty much at Allstar Espresso for 16 years before I decided to start my own business. My sister Tiffany and I worked together every morning Monday-Friday all those years and I couldn’t be more thankful for that job. I met some really amazing people and built some pretty incredible relationships.”

Where do you draw inspiration/creativity in your life?

“I draw inspiration and creativity from helping others and making an impact on their lives. Every day I strive to be the best version of myself and take pride in giving back. I love learning about people and studying why people are the way they are. Healing and helping others heal has become my main priority in my life and it truly fills my heart with so much joy.”

About mystic movement

How did the idea of starting Mystic MVMT begin?

“Well, that is definitely an interesting story. I started hosting sisterhood circles out of my home, at the time I was still working at a local coffee shop. I wanted to offer a safe space for women to gather and help them heal. I’ve always been told that I make people feel at home and even strangers can feel like they can tell me anything. I was just a few months into my spiritual journey when I lost my brother to suicide. That’s when I started digging in, doing more research, and asking myself all sorts of questions. This was more of a process I was doing because I wanted to, I had no plans to turn it into a business. I was planning to start my own interior design business, but I realized something was holding me back. These circles I hosted were actually where my heart was feeling called but I had no idea how to turn it into an actual business, or how I’d make money doing it.”

The Genesis

Tell us the story of how Mystic MVMT came to fruition.

“I’ll never forget the day when I made that decision. To sum up a much longer story - I sat quietly and said ‘OK, Universe. I don’t have a damn clue what I’m doing but I know this is my purpose and I’m going for it! I know that I will be guided along my journey and it’s going to be so successful.

Here I am a year and a half later, my business is thriving and I’m so grateful1! We have expanded twice and it just keeps getting busier and busier. I truly love what I do and I’m so grateful I took a leap of faith and followed my heart. Helping others is where I thrive.”

The Drive

Tell us what/who drives you to keep working hard towards your goals.

“My goal 6 months into starting the business was to own the biggest healing center in Kitsap County and offer every form of healing possible. To date, we have over 70 local artists and several different healers including reiki, tarot, mediumship, astrologist, life coach, tapping, and so much more!”

Love Kitsap

Tell us your fave local drink spot - coffee, tea, wine, tequila, whatever!

“Favorite local coffee spot = Allstar Espresso in Silverdale without a doubt!

Favorite restaurant = Khao Soi, in Manette, has the BEST Thai food!”

Tell us your fave local spot for a comfort meal - what do you always order?

“My fave restaurant is Khai Soi and my ultimate favorite meal to order is Pad See Ew, it’s SO good! If you’re a fan of Thai food, you won’t be disappointed!

Live Kitsap

Out-of-town guests are coming for the weekend. What is the most important thing you share with them about the Kitsap Peninsula? Where do you absolutely have to take them?

Downtown Bremerton has grown so much and there are so many fun spots to visit. For a great cup of coffee, I love Fraiche Cup, it’s cozy, locally owned, and featuring local artists and they’re super welcoming. El Balcon has the best street tacos ever, the line is worth the wait. Remedy Speakeasy has vegan options and you can order any of their drinks as mocktails. The owner, Allison, is super sweet and they are family-friendly. I also love shopping at the Gift Basket Shop. They are a nonprofit and I always find the best gifts.”
