The north end of town - where Poulsbo, Silverdale, and East Bremerton are all entwined together in amaze of tri-plexity - is home to St. Michael Medical Center, the largest hospital in Kitsap County, the one and only Kitsap Mall - recently expanding into ‘The Trails’ which now includes an outdoor shopping experience across the street, the Kitsap Pavilion - host to the Kitsap County Fair, Rodeos, Destruction Derby’s, Night to Shine, Redeemed Revival Vintage Market and a host of other annual community events.

Silver City has been churning out quality PNW craft beer since before it was cool (25+ years!) and their Flagship Restaurant and Alehouse is one of Silverdale's busiest and most beloved eateries. The Bremerton based taproom is open daily from 12-8pm to get the latest brew straight from the source.

Our incredible craft beer scene, pioneered by Silver City Brewery is just one more reason to LOVE Kitsap.

The staff and volunteers at the Kitsap Humane Society go to great lengths to give each animal individualized care and attention. One unique way dogs get a break from living at the shelter is with a car ride with KHS volunteer Molly Clark to get a Starbucks Puppuccino (a small cup filled with whipped cream). Who can resist adorable pictures of dogs enjoying their Starbucks treat?

If you see white sails on Dyes Inlet, there's a good chance it's the members of Silverdale's Kitsap Sailing & Rowing Foundation. The Central Kitsap High School Sailing Team is one of several programs that the Foundation offers as well as Summer Sailing Camps for Kids and Teens, High School Sailing Team, Community Sailing Nights and Adult Sailing Lessons.

There are so many amazing places to sail and ports to call on when you're exploring Kitsap's water trails, you can explore our 300+ miles of shoreline year round and still not see it all!

Those who know agree that Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve is one of the most enchanting adventures on the Peninsula.

Guests experience evergreen forests, boardwalked wetlands, and a picturesque cove on the Hood Canal. The whimsical and legendary Stumphouse awaits down a short trail once you reach the wetlands, a giant tree stump adorned with a miniature shingled roof. The kids will want to crawl inside, and you’ll want to snap pics!

Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve is 184 acres of hiking, galavanting, swimming, picnicking, wildlife watching, beach combing and exploring located just a short drive off the Newberry Hill exit in Silverdale.

Clear Creek Trail

Clear Creek Trail is almost 8 miles from Silverdale Waterfront Park on Dyes Inlet north to Trigger Avenue.  It follows Clear Creek as it meanders through wetlands and remnant forests, right through the middle of the most highly developed urban areas in Silverdale.

Members and supporters envision a future with Clear Creek as a healthy stream ecosystem with clean water, a healthy salmon run, native plants, and animal habitat, providing quiet enjoyment and evoking sensitivity and respect for the stream, a part of our natural heritage.
