Manchester STATE PARK

A favorite South Kitsap Park - Manchester is an 111 acre forest-draped, waterfront State Park with 3K+ feet of shoreline on the Kitsap Peninsula, easily accessed from Seattle. You can spend hours and hours exploring and never get bored! Turn over rocks o the beach, wander the trails, venture into the historic military bunkers and even camp on site!

GUILLEMOT COVE


19484 NW Stavis Bay Road, Seabeck

Tucked into the folds of the Seabeck shoreline, the nature reserve takes some driving to get to, but trust us, it’s worth every moment. Visitors to Guillemot Cove park in a small gravel lot and make their way towards the unassuming trailhead with the unique wooden sign. The path slopes steadily down through a coastal evergreen forest. Sword fern and huckleberry fill in the gaps, and on nice days the sun slants in a thousand tiny rays through the trunks of the pine and cedar and douglas fir.

Come to Silverdale July 25-27 for live music, street vendors, great food, fireworks and super fun activities + entertainment Taking over the Silverdale waterfront, Whaling Days is a family-oriented, non-profit, volunteer-run community festival held in “Old Town” Silverdale since 1974.

HERONSWOOD garden

The Heronswood Garden began in 1987 and comprises 15 acres of botanical gardens boasting a vast array of plants from around the world, with over 8,000 varieties spread across six distinct yet integrated gardens. Purchased by the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe in 2012, Heronswood now serves as a showcase for tribal culture and operates under the auspices of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Foundation.

Perched above beautiful Liberty Bay on the Poulsbo waterfront is the SEA Discovery Center - an amazing multimedia exhibit featuring Puget Sound wildlife and a touch-friendly tide pool that sparks curiosity and wonder! Make the SEA Discovery Center a part of your next Poulsbo weekend adventure.

Suquamish is and always has been a very special place. Kitsap’s deep and abiding native heritage is a source of pride and beauty and a visit to Suquamish should be on every visitors and locals list of must-do. Take in Suquamish art and culture at the Suquamish Museum, walk the beach and admire the stunning views, reverently pay your respects to Chief Sealth (Seattle) and perhaps picnic at Old Man House Park. Located between Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island, Suquamish is especially easy to access for visitors arriving via auto ferry to Bainbridge.

KITSAP MEMORIAL STATE PARK

Kitsap Memorial State Park is located on the Hood Canal just minutes from Poulsbo. A quick search of any social platform search often packed with brides and grooms, and wedding celebrations. We love their pirate-themed kids park and the maze of concrete pathways under conifer cover with sneak peeks of the beach below. During the golden hour, the Olympic Mountains erupt in glorious shades of sunset hues.
