Wayzgoose Kitsap

Last Weekend in June

At Wayzgoose Kitsap, over a dozen local artists will print hand-carved linoleum blocks, then roll them with full-size STREAMROLLERS right on Pacific Ave amidst a crowd of onlookers.

Wayz-what? This festival deserves some extra context because of it’s truly unique nature! The word itself is defined as ‘a printers’ annual outing or entertainment’. A wayzgoose was at one time an entertainment given by a master printer to his workmen each year on or about St Bartholomew's Day. The first known Wayzgoose dates all the way back to 1681. Since then, Wayzgoose has been reimagined around the world as a public arts festival.

Hosted by Wayzgoose Kitsap
